I have not written anything beyond essay papers since 2016. For some reason, I thought it would be an excellent idea to accept a hectic management job *and* go back to school for a Master's degree. While many people have been in lockdown or out of work since the pandemic started, my job has been insane - typically 50 - 60 hours a week. And I realized recently that I need something to do that is strictly relaxing and for my enjoyment. So here I am, dusting off my Trixie websites and jumping back in yet again. I signed up for NaNoWriMo. I have no idea if I'll be able to pull it off along with work and school and a planned Thanksgiving vacation, but I'm going to give it my best shot. After that? I'd love to pick A Simple Kind of Fear and The Cold Lake Murders back up. *crosses fingers*
I finally found my old external hard drive. Or, to be more accurate: my husband realized he'd had it in a trunk with some old books and other equipment. There's so much stuff on this thing. So far, I've found the original ASKOF images and all the files from one of the Jixaversaries. (Pretty sure it's the third one.)
This was the emoticon I made and we used to have on the Jix forum for "every time Regan puts his big, freckled hands on his hips". How awesome is this? It's the fact that he's winking, too, that makes this so cool.
I finally have an excuse to upgrade to the current Photoshop. (The online cloud version.) Youngest is taking a graphic design course and needs it and Illustrator. :) This also means I can steal her textbook when she's done with it. No more using the 2002 version. Hee. I will probably miss it. It has served me well.
Honestly, I only ever meant to do Dan, the Unicorn, but once I got started, it was too fun to stop. I've put up a separate page linking to all of the illustrations.
