While in later years, he generally preferred his trusty unicorn Patch, as a young boy, Jim Frayne was frequently spotted astride random frogs he encountered and tamed in his nature explorations. While the rest of the BWGs never quite understood it, occasionally he would suggest to his friends that they might find this a viable mode of transportation when in need and they gamely went along with it.
