Rocket Man is up. It's essentially a prequel because it takes place before the main events of A Simple Kind of Fear. There aren't any spoilers for the series. It's stand alone and PG-13. It's not particularly Jim & Trixie friendly or unfriendly. Jim is mentioned briefly at the beginning but does not appear in the story at all. In fact, there's not really any romance at all in this one.
I am a huge fan of Yes.Fit, the virtual race company. In the past 2 years and 2 months, I have finished 90 of their races. 😀
I wanted to do something similar to what they offer, but, of course, without charging anyone to participate. So here's my Sleepyside Walk/Run Challenge. It's not as interactive as a virtual race like Yes.Fit can offer, but it does give you the opportunity to use Google maps to check out what would have been the route from Crabapple Farm to Sleepyside Jr - Sr High.
So, I finished the story. It weighs in at a little over 15 pages and 6500 words. I think there are a few spots that could be better fleshed out so I'll tackle those this week and post on Halloween as planned. Or actually, probably Friday. Youngest and I have a Harry Potter movie marathon planned for Halloween itself. 😁
I do think I'm back in writing mode, though, so NaNoWriMo can Bring. It. On.
I love those moments when you just let yourself write whatever comes into your head and then go back and to read over it and think, "Huh. That's really not that bad." But I especially love those moments when you just let yourself write whatever comes into your head and then go back to read it over and think, "Holy crap. What in the name of everything good in this world is this horror that shall never see the light of day?" right before you hit delete. 🤣
